The Downing Family won a portrait session from me at the Central Coast Cancer Challenge Auction, and I am so happy they did!!! I like this family a lot and of course Carter is the sweetest most easy going baby probably ever! He was so cooperative, I was impressed :) 

Declan's Newborn Portraits - Santa Maria, Ca.

How cute is this little guy? I have been photographing a lot of babies and children lately and it is awesome. You really have to be patient and just let them do their thing and I like that. You never know what you are going to get, and would you believe me if I told you Declan was not too thrilled about having his picture taken? There was some crying between takes but that didn't keep him from still being stinkin' adorable! 

Resse Joy's Birth Day - San Luis Obispo, Ca.

Becky (Resse's mom) and I were friends in high school. We had lost touch through the years but thanks to Facebook have reconnected, and I am so glad that we did. I had been wanting to photograph a birth for a long time, but it's something that not a lot of people are requesting (I really don't know why) so I had posted on FB that I was looking for expecting mothers that would let me have the honor of capturing the birth of their coming baby. Becky replied to my request. Becky and her husband Nick are high school sweethearts and together they now have three beautiful children, and all of them were natural births.
